Privacy Policy
NRI Legal Care (operated by WGS India) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect from NRI clients, their parents and authorised representatives, how we use it to deliver property protection, parents care, legal coordination and emergency services, and the rights you have over your data.

1. Information We Collect
To deliver our services we collect:
- Identity & contact data — full name, passport / OCI / PIO details, date of birth, residential address in India and abroad, email, phone, WhatsApp number.
- Family & beneficiary data — names, ages, relationship, health conditions and contact details of parents or dependants in India whom we assist on your behalf.
- Property & legal documents — sale deeds, title documents, encumbrance certificates, tax receipts, rent agreements, Power of Attorney, court papers and case histories you share with us.
- Financial information — billing address, GST details, payment receipts and bank-transfer references. Card and net-banking credentials are processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway and never stored on our servers.
- Service interaction data — enquiry form submissions, chatbot conversations, call recordings (with notice), email correspondence and visit logs from field officers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information and cookies when you use our website.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To verify your identity and your authority to act on a property or family matter in India.
- To coordinate advocate consultations, document drafting, court filings, site visits, parents care visits and emergency response.
- To communicate updates over email, phone, WhatsApp and our client portal.
- To raise invoices, process payments and maintain statutory accounting records.
- To comply with Indian law including the Advocates Act, Bar Council rules, KYC / AML regulations and any lawful order of a court, tribunal or government authority.
- To improve our website, services and customer support.
3. Sharing of Information
We share information strictly on a need-to-know basis with:
- Empanelled advocates, chartered accountants, notaries and registered valuers handling your matter.
- Hospitals, diagnostic labs, home-care providers and ambulance services engaged for your parents' care, with your prior consent.
- Government authorities, courts, sub-registrar offices, municipal bodies and police where disclosure is legally required.
- Technology service providers (cloud hosting, email, payment gateway, CRM, analytics) bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing.
4. Data Storage & Security
Documents and client records are stored on access-controlled cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Physical originals, if handed over, are stored in our secured premises and returned or destroyed as agreed. Access is restricted to authorised staff and bound by signed non-disclosure agreements.
5. Data Retention
We retain client files for a minimum of seven (7) years from closure of the engagement to comply with Indian taxation, advocate record-keeping and limitation-period requirements. Litigation records may be retained longer where the matter remains open or under appeal. After the retention period, records are securely deleted or anonymised.
6. Your Rights
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information.
- Withdraw consent for non-essential processing (e.g., marketing communication).
- Request deletion of your data, subject to our statutory record-keeping obligations.
- Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer (details below) or with the competent data-protection authority in India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
7. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses essential cookies for login and security, and analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or equivalent) to understand site usage. You may disable non-essential cookies from your browser settings.
8. Children's Data
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information of children under 18, except as part of family documentation provided by an authorised parent or guardian.
9. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL with a revised effective date. Material changes will be notified by email to active clients.
